Description
The Trust Fund shall be applied for the purchase and maintenance of medical equipment for the treatment or examination at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh as a single entity or with the approval of the Trustees, in conjunction with the other associated hospitals, health and medical institutions, including but not limited to Princess Alexandria Eye Pavilion. of diabetic and diabetes related patients which medical equipment is not available or not immediately available under the National Health Service and for the expenses of administering the Trust. The Trust Fund shall also be applied for the education and training of patients, their supporters and health care advisers on the subject of diabetes, diabetes related conditions and research into the efficient treatment of diabetes, for the benefit of diabetes patients of Edinburgh Royal Infirmary as a single entity or with the approval of the Trustees, in conjunction with the other associated hospitals, health and medical institutions, including but not limited to Princess Alexandria Eye Pavilion. Annual accounts shall be prepared and subject to the appropriate level of external scrutiny as required under the relevant charity legislation.
