Description
The purpose of meetings of the Association shall be to: (a) Help develop understanding between parents, teachers and all associated with the administration of the school. (b) Encourage activities of all kinds to promote the education and welfare of all children attending the school. (c) Help parents to understand current trends in the teaching and development of children. (d) Enable the teachers to establish a closer relationship with the parents and help them have a better understanding of the children in their charge. (e) Give parents a wider knowledge of the educational provision made nationally and locally and point out the opportunities of further education which are available to their children. (f) Assist the school through financial and other help. The day to day running of the school, its curriculum and educational methods employed, are the responsibility of the Principal, staff, the WELB and school Board of Governors, although where appropriate consultation will take place. The Principal shall have the ultimate decision on all education matters.
