Description
The Association is established to teach Arabic language and promote the education of the inhabitants of the Greater Belfast area and its environs of Northern Ireland (hereinafter called the "area of benefit"), by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and in particular: a) to advance and provide a focus on Arabic language among the general public, especially children, by promoting awareness of, the study of, and research into Arabic history, folklore, skills, arts, crafts and cultural heritage; b) to promote the education of people, and their children, through the provision of Arabic language resources; c) to advance education among parents in the area of benefit and to encourage parents in the area of benefit to provide mutual support and encouragement to each other and to their children.
