Description
(1) Advance education and the arts, culture and heritage in Armagh and its environs (the "area of benefit") by: (i) encouraging and promoting the learning and use of the Irish language; (ii) encouraging appreciation for and participation in the production of traditional crafts, in particular by disseminating the techniques and knowledge associated with the making of traditional crafts; (iii) stimulating artistic creativity, whether for beginners or otherwise, by the provision of advice,support, training and holding of traditional craft exhibitions and events; (iv) fostering, facilitating and providing practical assistance designed to promote the regeneration of the local economy by means of reviving traditional arts and crafts. (2) Operate a community café in the area of benefit for the public benefit in order to: (i) create training and employment opportunities for people who are normally disadvantaged in the open employment market; (ii) promote healthy eating and a greater understanding of food and dietary requirements, particularly among the young and older people. (iii) provide opportunities for social and cultural interaction.
