Description
The association is established to advance education, relieve poverty, protect and promote public health and to promote health and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants and community of Romanian origin and descent and their dependants (hereinafter called the "beneficiaries") resident in Northern Ireland (hereinafter called the "area of benefit") without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the beneficiaries in a common effort to advance education, promote and foster a community spirit in favour of equality and diversity and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said beneficiaries and in particular: (a) to maintain and manage a centre or centres in the area of benefit for the activities promoted by the association (hereinafter called "the centre") (b) to advance education and encourage appreciation within the area of benefit in all matters relating to Romanian arts, history, traditions, language and culture thereby promoting good race relations in an effort to foster a sentiment in favour of equality and diversity. (c)to promote or assist in the promotion, facilitation and organisation of community capacity building programmes and projects for the benefit of the inhabitants within the area of benefit who have need of such assistance as a result of their youth, age, disability or infirmity, or social and economic circumstances, in an effort to increase the abilities, skills and self-confidence of such inhabitants; (d) to educate and assist the beneficiaries, and in particular but not exclusively children and young people aged between 3 and 18 through their leisure-time activities so as to develop their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual capacities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and so that their conditions of life may be improved; (e) to advance any other exclusively charitable purpose as the Management Committee, may from time to time, decide in accordance with the law of charity
