Description
3.1 The Initiative is established to promote the benefits of health and wellbeing through community based interventions to any individual without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, class, marital status, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary and community sector organisations and the beneficiaries in a common effort to advance and promote the protection and preservation of health, and to provide facilities in the interests of community development, community education social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said individuals and in particular: 3.1.1 To promote the efficiency and effectiveness of individuals, voluntary and community organisations, projects, and partnerships in the area by providing advice, education and training in health and wellbeing, and practical support to such individuals, organisations, projects and partnerships for the benefit of the public; 3.1.2 To promote and assist in promoting community development & health and well-being programmes and projects for the benefit of communities who are in need of such assistance as a result of their youth, age, disability or Infirmity, or social and economic circumstances, in an effort to increase the Abilities skills and self-confidence of such communities.
