Description
The band is established to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Poyntzpass area and District Council Area without distiction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, class, marital staus, political or religious opinion, in a common effort to advance the tradition of Highland Piping through training and education in Highland Piping and Drumming and to provide a facility in the interests of recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the quality of life for the said inhabitants and in particular: to maintain and manage a centre for activities promoted by the band to provide training in traditional highland pipe band music to give performances as a band for the local and wider community at the request of band and community members.
