Description

The Association is established to protect and conserve Red Squirrel populations in the Tollymore Forest Park area and its environs of County Down (hereinafter called the "area of benefit") without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating with the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to: a) conserve the red squirrels within the area of benefit through supplementary feeding and by active control of grey squirrels; b) educate and inform the public in respect of the care and conservation of Red Squirrels; c) recruit, select and train volunteers for service within the area of benefit.
