Description

The Association is established for the prevention and relief of poverty in developing countries, being areas of social and economic deprivation, where the Sisters of the Good Shepherd are active (hereinafter called the "area of benefit") amongst, and for the benefit of, women, girls, children, infants and other persons who are suffering from the effects of adverse social and economic circumstances (hereinafter called "the beneficiaries") by all or any of the following means: [I] the relief of poverty within area of benefit in such ways as may be thought fit; [ii] the relief of unemployment within area of benefit in such ways as may be thought fit; [iii] the advancement of education, training, and work experience opportunity of the beneficiaries within sustainable trades; [iv] the provision of financial assistance, technical assistance and advice in order to promote and support the training, instruction, employment opportunity and the development of working skills for unemployed beneficiaries in cases of financial or other charitable need.
