Description
The objects of the cio are:(1) to relieve the poverty of young people by the provision or assistance in the provision of facilities to enable them to participate in healthy recreational activities that they could not otherwise afford;(2) to provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age infirmity or disability, gender, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life;(3) to provide or assist in the provision of facilities to enable and encourage young people receiving education or training at schools, universities, colleges or similar establishments, irrespective of ability, to participate in sport in connection with such education or training thereby helping to ensure that due attention is given to the physical and social development of young people as well as to the development and occupation of their minds;(4) to help young people, especially but not exclusively through leisure time activities, so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society; and(5) to advance such other charitable purposes (according to the law of england and wales) as the trustees see fit from time to time by providing grants.
