4. The Trustees shall stand possessed of the Trust Fund and the income thereof upon the trusts and subject to the powers and provisions following that is to say : - (i) During the life of the Settlor upon trust to pay or apply the net income of the Trust Fund and also so much of the capital thereof as the Settlor may from time to time by notice in writing to the Trustees direct to such charitable institution or institutions or for such charitable purpose or purposes and in such proportions and manner as the Trustees shall in their uncontrolled discretion from time to time determine such proportions and manner as the Settlor may from time to time by a like notice direct and subject to and in de f a u l t of any such direction and in so far as such direction shall not extend as the Trustees shall at their uncontrolled discretion determine and (ii) After the death of the Settlor upon trust to payor apply the net income of the Trust Fund and all or such part of the capital thereof as they shall think fit to such charitable , institution or insitutions or for such charitable purpose or purposes and in such proportions and manner as the Trustees shall in their uncontrolled discretion from time to time determine. vested in th~m by law (which shall take effect subject to any mod~fications contained in this deed) the Trustees shall have and may e~ercise at any time or -times in their absolute discretion without being liable to account for the exercise of such discretion the following powers :- (1) Power to invest all or part of the Trust Fund in the purchase of land of any tenure in the united Kingdom as an investment or for use or occupation for any of the purposes of this trust (2) Power to accept or refuse any money investments or property offered given devised or bequeathed to this trust (3) Power to deter
