3. The Society's objects are: 3.1 prevention and management of work-related ill health, occupational diseases and injuries and the protection of health of people at work. 3.2 The relief of those in need due to ill-health, disease, injury or disability by supporting them to keep in work or assist them to get into work 3.3 advancing education, including the promotion and stimulation of research in the field of occupational health and medicine and related environmental issues, in particular by the publication of such research and the provision of guidance and advice on occupational health and medicine and environmental health issues, including by forming for the above purposes a group of medical practitioners, nurses and allied health professionals interested in the practice of occupational health and medicine in any of its branches.
