Description
The object of The Trust which is to be in accordance with the wishes of the said Alan Robert MacLaren is to provide charitable assistance to Members of the Society in needy circumstances and to support educational projects connected with The Society and the history of The Clan in particular but without prejudice to the foregoing generality (1) To provide help or comforts to Members of The Society in cases of sickness or illness. (3) To provide financial assistance or the provision of accommodation to Undergraduate or Postgraduate Members of the Society to assist their education/ education generally and in particular to aid research and educational projects connected with The Clan MacLaren, such activities and projects to be centred where possible in the Clan's Ancestral Home in Balquhidder Strathearn. (4) To provide financial assistance for the restoration or upkeep and maintenance of the ruined Church of Balquhidder with the aim of ultimately restoring it as a place of public worship.
