Description
The relief of unemployment for the benefit of the public in such ways as may be thought fit, including assistance to find employment; To relieve either generally or individually persons resident in Northern Ireland and elsewhere who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress by the provision of furniture and accessories calculated to reduce the need, hardship or distress of such persons. To provide vocational training, support and work experience for unemployed persons who volunteer and to help those in need especially but not exclusively through the provision of work, training courses and vocational courses so as to develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society more fully. To advance education by the provision of work experience and training opportunities to disadvantaged individuals including long-term unemployed and economically inactive people and the provision of volunteering opportunities. To promote or undertake specific projects or provide direct services to provide employment or to make provision for community service and work for volunteers to advance the welfare of those who by reason of age, infirmity or disability, education,imprisonment, poverty or social and economic circumstances, inadequate family support or other valid cause are socially deprived or disadvantaged with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons; To promote improvement of the environment and undertake or furnish assistance as the Charity may from time to time deem appropriate to any other person or body undertaking a project or projects of environmental work and to advance education about the importance of pursuing a sustainable lifestyle through repair, re-use and recycling.
